Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Reproductive Sciences, has a full-time opening for a Clinical Sciences Professional in Dr. Nanette Santoro's lab. The Santoro Lab studies mechanisms underlying the impact of obesity on reproductive endocrinology and fertility in women and their offspring. In our group, we study both investigator and industry-initiated human subject trials. The lab is seeking to recruit an individual with prior clinical coordinating and human subject experience. In general, duties will include recruiting, screening, guiding participants through clinical studies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Furthermore, this individual will also be required to maintain meticulous record-keeping of study visits and protocol operations, assist in developing and implementing new or modified protocols required for research projects, and assist the lab manager and PI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen, recruit, and consent research subjects as written in the protocol
  • Accurate data collection and entry
  • Manage patient tracking and follow-up visits
  • Assist in the training and in-service of hospital staff on new study protocols
  • Maintain research records as required by protocol, department, and university policy
  • Submits or assists with IRB submissions for new studies for new and ongoing studies
  • Collaborate with other research personnel and groups
  • Maintain study-specific certifications, human subject protection training, computer training, and other hospital-required training
  • Work as a part of the entire study team in addressing any needs that may arise related to all studies the team manages
  • Collaborating with and supporting the principal investigator and lab manager with research functions
  • Ability to follow protocols and instructions
  • Other duties as assigned

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Intermediate Level:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • One to two (1-2) years of clinical research or related experience
Senior Level:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Two to three (2-3) years of clinical research or related experience

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Intermediate Level:
  • Bachelor's degree in science or a health-related field
  • Three (3) years of clinical research or related experience
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR or EHR and data management systems)
  • Experience in Reproductive Endocrinology, Human Physiology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry
Senior Level:
  • Master's degree in science or a health-related field
  • Five (5) years of clinical research or related experience
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR or EHR and data management systems)
  • Experience in Reproductive Endocrinology, Human Physiology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

Intermediate Level: $52,721 to $67,061

Senior Level: $56,995 to $72,498

The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
