Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2022
Specialization in the area of Urban Sociology and Policy
Demonstrated potential for successful teaching at the college level
Demonstrated potential for continued development of research, scholarly, and creative activities in the area of Urban Sociology and Policy
Demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student population
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of scholarship in the area of Urban Sociology and Policy
Successful college-level teaching in one or more of the following topics: Urban Sociology, Social Policy, Urban Communities, Urban Policy, Quantitative/Qualitative Research Methods, Policy Analysis and Evaluation
Demonstrated ability to mentor students and supervise research
Evidence of service in an academic institution or the community
Experience of successfully working with populations demographically and socioeconomically similar to the CSULB student body
Duties:
Teach courses such as Poverty and Social Policy; Racism, Power and Inequality; Sociology of the Family; Sociology of Gender; Youth, Policing and Justice; International Social Conflict; Social Stratification; Quantitative or Qualitative Research Methods. [Mode of instruction may include in-person, hybrid, online, and/or any combination thereof.]
Develop potential courses in the candidate's area(s) of expertise
Develop and engage in ongoing research, scholarly and creative activities
Assist in mentoring students; supervise student research
Develop curricula to meet the needs of a diverse student body
Participate in service to the department, college, university, and community

On the article Your Place in the Policy Universe This is a great article. Importantly, I am looking for a place to do a doctorate in nanobioinformatics and the Founders of this site are a great start in places to look! Google did not work for me this time (which is quite rare).

Your site is an eye opening, invaluable portal for S&E PhDs and research professionals. I have referred your site to my extensive graduate school network here at the University of Pennsylvania. I am currently in a lab management role where I conduct my own research in a gene therapy program.
