Job Summary
Postdoc with a primary duty consisting research-related work. Required to meet FLSA threshold to be paid on a salaried basis, otherwise employment record will convert to hourly.
Retirement provided.
Develops research projects and is responsible for scientific design, conduct and interpretation, presenting results and publishing manuscripts.

Essential Functions
- Develops scientific research projects and acts as a principal investigator or co-principal investigator.
- Sets up new methods or assays to accomplish scientific objectives.
- Identifies and implements creative solutions to overcome problems.
- Organizes, interprets data and derives study conclusions.
- Manages and trains research staff to achieve research goals.
- Collaborates with internal and external investigators on multiple research projects ensuring scientific significance and feasibility.
- Summarizes results of clinical studies in the form of scientific abstracts and manuscripts.
- Serves as a resource to provide clinical and scientific information needed for various initiatives.
- Contributes to teaching activities by preparing and presenting educational seminars.
- Assists with grant preparation by researching background, significance and planning statistics.
- .Attends national conferences and presents results of clinical studies.

The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient's status and provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.
Minimum Qualifications
Postdoc. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
This position is not responsible for providing patient care. Care is appropriate to the population served.
