Position Summary:
The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
The Senior Assistant Director for Leadership Programs reports to the Associate Director for Student Programs and Activities. This position provides direction, and support, and conducts performance reviews for two full-time staff members (Assistant Director for Leadership Programs and the Assistant Director for Student Leadership). This position assists with the operation of the Student Government Association (SGA) which includes the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the Judicial Branch, as well as various leadership committees within SGA. This position works in partnership with the Department of Greek Student Engagement and Development and the Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness to serve as a resource and provide support to Recognized Student Clubs and Organizations (RSOs).
This includes overseeing and coordinating the recognition process for student clubs and organizations, coordinating initial and ongoing training for student club and organization leaders, and coordinating and developing support resources (i.e., RSO Manual, club offices, etc) for student clubs and organizations. This position serves as an instructor for the Leadership Minor and teaches up to 2 classes per academic year.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for this position:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Interested candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment sponsorship or any other immigration-related assistance.
- Masters Degree is required in Student Affairs or a related field with at least two years of demonstrated related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Student Government Association or another student program group in an advisory capacity. Experience working with Engage. Experience working with the recognition and on-going support for recognized clubs and organizations.
